How to spot fake and scam "free Robux" codes

Updated July 1, 2026·By Marky & Hugosa

Legitimate Roblox game codes are simply short strings you paste into a game for an in-game reward. They are free, they never touch your account credentials, and no real code will ever ask you to log in somewhere else. Anything that breaks those rules is a scam — here is how to recognise it.

There is no such thing as a free-Robux code

Roblox does not distribute Robux through public promo codes typed into random websites. "Enter this code for 10,000 Robux" is the oldest scam in the platform. Game codes give things like gems, pets, coins, skins and boosts inside a specific game — never Robux, gift cards, or Premium.

Red flags to walk away from

  • Any site or video that asks for your Roblox password or login to "apply" a code. Real codes are redeemed inside the game while you are already logged in.
  • A "generator" that produces Robux or codes after you complete a survey, download an app, or do human verification. These loops never pay out.
  • Codes shared with a link to an off-platform login page. Never enter your Roblox details anywhere except roblox.com.
  • Promises of admin, free Premium, or account upgrades in exchange for a code or your details.

How to keep your account safe

  • Turn on two-step verification in your Roblox account settings.
  • Only ever type your password on roblox.com or the official app.
  • Treat any code that requires more than pasting-into-a-game as fake.
  • If you entered your details on a suspicious site, change your Roblox password immediately.

How we keep our lists clean

Every code we publish is a genuine in-game reward code sourced from developers and trusted trackers, verified against the game itself. We never list Robux generators, survey links, or anything that asks for your credentials. If a reward sounds impossible — free Robux, free Premium — it is not a real code, no matter where you saw it.
